Question

How do I set Premiere to link to Audition

A client of mine has me doing some WFH on a project.  Their studio is Premiere Pro CC 2019 and they wanted me to keep it there.  Fine, no problem, downloaded the old Premiere Pro.

However the dynamic link to Audition isn't working.  I downloaded the 2019 audition in order to see if the versions need to be the same, but still, Premiere will "render and replace", then I get a blank file in Audition.

The link works fine in 2020.

I'm using OSX Catalina.

Where can I tell Premiere which program to use for "Edit in Adobe Audition" when editing audio on the timeline.

thanks!

what's WFH ?

When you go to audition from PPro, what version of audition is automatically opening ? under help of audition when it opens there should be version info ?

WFH is "Working From Home"

🙂

To answer your question, The 2020 version of Audition is opening.  It "Renders and Replaces" in Premiere 2019, but then Audition 2020 opens and no file is there, just like a blank project/canvas.
