See this help page. It is not a direct answer, but points you in the direction of the several files that need to be backed up.

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/how-to/sync-settings.html

I have sync turned off at the moment, but I recall the structure of the Cloud Files (that are stored locally on your machine, and then synced to "the cloud"), somewhat parallels the main user preferences files. For me on windows, they are at:

The regular local files are: C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\14.0

The "Creative Cloud Files" folder is: C:\Users\[user name]\Creative Cloud Files\Premiere Pro\14.0

with a numbered folder for each version of PR I have.

I don't know which settings are stored, but they include custom workspaces and keystrokes. For example, custom keyboard assignments appear to be kept here:

C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\14.0\Profile-video\Win\[Custom].kys

Let us know what you find.

Thanks Stan. That link doesn't show me anything about local files, it's all about online options and menus.

For example, with Avid Media Composer, my settings are stored locally in a folder marked 'Avid Users'. Simple.

What is the equivalent for Premiere Pro mac users? Does anyone out there know?

Which settings are you interested in? Most settings (keyboard shortcuts, custom workspaces, etc.) are stored locally.

If you're talking about going back to an older version of the software, you would need to have that downloaded prior to being offline.

All of your media and project files should be stored locally already.

Yes I understand they are stored locally, but I want to take them off the computer, out of the cloud, and store them on a USB key for when I need to work offline on another machine.

I also want to keep a backup of old settings, in case i make changes to the current settings and I want to undo them.

Thanks.
