How edit video/photo onto green body suit, shirt, or hat while actor is walking or sitting?

I have Adobe Premiere Pro on my MacBookPro16. I filmed scenes with an actor walking around wearing a green body suit (then other scenens with a green shirt or hat) and only his head is not covered. What are the editing steps in Premiere to replace all green areas (suit, shirt or hat) with either a photo or video image as he is walking around or sitting? Thanks.

In Premiere Pro, there are a number of keying effects.

With Ultra Key, you can simply select the color that you wish to key out.

For more advanced keying options, you may need to use After Effects instead. I've had great results using Keylight before.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response. However, I need help editing in Adobe Premiere Pro when my actor is wearing a full or partial Green Bodysuit. Can you provide me a document or a link to a website (or a book I can buy/download) that has Bodysuit editing help (and/or "tips & tricks") ...such as how to make the person wearing the suit invisible in the video & only the non-green objects he's holding be visible? Thanks.

The foremost trick is to get the green evenly lit, in order to effectively remove it. Also, you need to shoot clean plates in order to be able to fill in keyed out areas. If the camera is moving, both the action and the clean plate need to be shot identically.

Most tricky issue will be to fill in parts that no longer exist after the green has been removed but are hard to shoot as a clean plate, such as the inside of a sleeve, neck piece or hat. The flatter the scene, the less challenges you face.

Nonetheless, it sounds like a fun shoot. Just don't let it grow into a post production nightmare. Test before you shoot the talent.

Hope this helps.

Honestly, I don't know if there is any specific instructions for "bodysuits" that's different than green screen instructions. A green bodysuit is just a wearable green screen. The video editor treats it the same way. The pros who have answered have pretty much given you everything you need. If you key out the suit the way you would a green screen, you'll get the result you want.

The only difference I can think of is that lighting might be trickier. It's difficult enough to light a stationary green screen correctly, to get even color and avoid too much shadow. Your lighting would need to be planned so that during the shoot, the actor is evenly lit no matter where they walk. But it sounds like you're past the shoot and you're in post production now. The directions are the same as with any green screen project.
