How to add fonts from adobe cloud library to premiere pro

Hi,

I am needing assistance in using font character styles from adobe cloud library to premiere pro. I've used these fonts styles and cant recreate them in adobe premiere because adobe premiere character styles are set at 0 and photoshops are set at 100 and i'm not sure how to get the spacing, line height and etc to match.

It would be great if I could use the adobe cloud library to save the character style and use the library on another adobe cloud proudct premiere.

This should be easier to use the same style across adobe products.

So frustrating

Any help would be greatly apprecriated.. thanks!

I don't know why I am able to open the library in premiere SEE the character style I saved on photoshop and wish to use and start typing and it NOT BE APPLIED.

Because, as has been stated so often by the development team (yes, they normally don't go on public forums but did for this) on here and elsewhere ... they consider this release of the EGP to be about a .8 release, notably unfinished, but wanting feedback on where of the myriad potential paths they should go.

It's unfinished. It can do somethings, but others just haven't been finished yet to the point of being 'safe' coding or something, and ... they want feedback.

So ... file the feature request over this. File different ones for every separate change you want to see in the EGP. Please!

Every report filed gets distributed to management in their collated internal reports.

If I understand correctly, in order to save text created in the new Essential Graphics to a Library, you have to turn the text into a Template first.

I have assets we use in Adobe photoshop with text spacing, line height etc all figured out. For brand consistency we are wanting to use the same character style's we use in photoshop in premiere pro. It is difficult to recreate the exact styles on photoshop vs premiere because the character value sets are set are 0 or 100. So -72 for spacing on photoshop doesnt translate to -72 on premiere because its base value is set at 0 not 100.

I don't know why I am able to open the library in premiere SEE the character style I saved on photoshop and wish to use and start typing and it NOT BE APPLIED.

I understand the frustration. And they do have a goal to have all similar appearing things be as similar as possible ... but building Illustrator and coding it is a very different thing than a video app, so there are some basic things that were designed and work well in a straight graphics app, that ... trying to get there with an NLE, is ... a rough slog. So they do something that sort of works like the same. And over time, several features have been rather well integrated between apps.

Are you referring to using them within the new EGP? That panel was a spanking-new design dropped with 2017, and from the start, they said it was a .8 product, in order to get as much user feedback as possible into how they should develop it. Well ... they got some feedback, all right! Ahem ...

They've had the IBC "rollout" of the features to be included in the next iteration, you can go to the Adobe Premiere Pro page and see what they've listed for changes in the next version, whenever that "drops" ... which they never say ahead of time.

And ... they want everyone to post feature requests for the EGP, on how 'we' want it to work ... they don't respond, but all filings do get collated and sent to all managerial types.

I see the new text editor, but there's still no way to use the library style.. like where would it drag it on top of? Or click to apply like photoshop. You think bringing up the asset library in premiere and seeing the text you would like to be used when be available by clicking it and just start typing...

I'm not asking for a lot and am really at a loss for what to do.

What's the point of having the creative cloud library available if you can't edit the text/character style you saved.

Hey, that non-use of the coolest cross-app feature (Libraries) in the Adobe-sphere in the brand-new EGP ... yea, not intuitive? Well, you can partially use the Library ... for importing shapes. To use a shape you've created (in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Capture, whatever) ... click the add-layer button in the EGP edit window, and choose "From file" ... you just need to know the place on a local drive where Adobe stores your Library stuff. Can be fun to puzzle that out also.

I do totally sympathize. My comments have been rather whiny on that by now ... one of the biggest reasons is I get where this EGP is headed ... and I so want it to all be there now.

Never having been a patient sort, you know ...
