how to add images one by one and let the first ones stay

Hello,

I want to 'stack' my images by adding them one by one and when I add a new one I want to let the ones I added first to stay so that the space is filling up with images coming one by one,

The video shows a stair, but I have much more images to add and otherwise it will be a big stair with lots of layers that will be empty for the rest of the video.

Is there an other way to do this, is it possible to do this in 1 layer or do I have to continue with multiple layers as a stair like this?

Just a project for school btw

Thank you in advance!

Kind Regards,

Christa

That's the right way to do it. And to tidy up your timeline once you built your composition you can select all the stills, right-click and choose "Nest...". Give it a name like "Photo Montage". This will create a single nested sequence clip. If you want to make edits to your stills you can then double-click the nested clip and it will open in a separate timeline tab. Good look and lots of fun for your project!

Yes! Nesting to tidy it up and keep the 'headtimeline' clean is what I was looking for! Thank you!!
