How to change a part of the video without affecting the other parts

Hello,

In Premiere Pro, I have 5 parts in the timeline.

I have noticed that if I change by example the "in" and "out"  of the part 2, the other parts (part 1 and part 3) are affected by this change, so I am obliged to enter again the "in" and "out"  to part 1 and part 3.

How to change the "in" and "out" of the part 2 without affecting the other parts around ?

Open clip from the Project window not the timeline in the Source Monitor.

You can also select clip in timeline and hit F (as in match frame).

For the "montage tab" : Inside the project panel, I have double clicked on the thumbnail corresponding to part 2, then in source panel I have modified the "in" and "out" for part 2, then I have clicked on the button "replace", so the modified part 2 is replaced on the timeline, but I have noticed that the end of part 2 goes on the begining of part 3.

So part 3 has been affected by the change.

How to have part 3 not affected by the change ?
