Question

how to create 20 second video/animation of 600 images

I have 600 images for a 20 second (very) short film, how do I have them play ~.03 seconds per image or simply have it move through each image at 30 FPS?

Tried a few different tips and tutorials from youtube and docs but no luck

There are several ways to do this, perhaps the easiest is to -

Go to the menu Premiere Pro CC > Preferences and choose General.

Set the Still Images Default Duration to 1 Frame  and click OK.

Now import your stills. They will all now have a duration of 1 frame (1/30th of a second at 30fps). This preference change will not affect any stills you have already imported, so if you have to, delete your original imported file and import them again.

Now create a sequence with the frame size you want and the frame rate you want.

Drag the imported stills to the timeline.

Depending on the horsepower of your computer, you will likely have to render the sequence in order to play it back in real time.

It you import the stills as an image sequence then you will have a clip with a duration of 20 seconds.

If the stills are not sequential you can batch rename them in PS.

An image sequence is far less strain on the computer then 600 single images.

To what Ann said - when doing File > Import, select only the first image of the batch of sequentially numbered stills, and then check the box at lower left of import dialog that says Image Sequence.

    Thanks
