How to create a home network for editing video with multiple users

My wife and I own a boutique video production company, and are currently using a vast amount of external hard drives on which to store and edit projects. Problem is that we often need to access the same files simultaneously and thus have to copy a project onto multiple externals, which of course leaves us with seperate versions of projects, and a high probability of losing ftg.

I would like to create a shared network at home where we can store and access all the footage from one place from multiple stations. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

In that case, instead of asking in a Premiere Pro forum, you might want to find a place to ask about how to set up a file server to use with a home network

Solution for networks...

Adobe Anywhere http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeanywhere.html

The Premiere Pro discussed in this forum is not, as far as I know, multi-user when it comes to files... one program open, one file in use by ONE person

If you set up a file server, and check in/out software, you will be able to have all your files in one place and then one person using a file at a time

Again as far as I know, you may NOT have two people trying to open one file at the same time

I must not have explained my question properly. I need to be able to access my video files from a central server by multiple users. My question doesn't have anything to do with premiere actually.
