How to create the effect of showing before and after in real time?

I want to create an effect similar to this one that shows the before and after effects of applying Lumetri color effects. How is this done?

    Edit your footage on V1, duplicate the whole track on to V2 and add the colour correction. Then use the linear wipe effect on V2 to do the transitions.
