How to entirely deselecting audio tracks on source in Premiere Pro.

 I want to edit a clip that has 16 audio tracks, but I want to use only 2 tracks audio out . I only have two tracks in the sequence, so the timeline in the source shows two tracks as well, but it also adds a small plus sign, which when you press it shows all 16 tracks, Then you can uncheck all the tracks by clicking on any track with a shift button,  Premiere creating those tracks in the sequence as well.

and after this operation I have to delete  also unnecessary tracks from the sequence.

Is it possible to disable tracks from the source without unrolling the all audio  tracks ?

You can modify the audio channel configuration of the clip itself, which would essentially eliminate other tracks from appearing.

 

Right click the clip(s) in question Modify > Audio Channels, and then make adjustments as necessary. For example, you can make it a Stereo clip instead which just uses 2 source channels as the two tracks.

Thanks for the answer, but that's not the way to do it. (!) 

With audio clips connected with video using merge clips, even if you change track configurations, Premiere put these disabled tracks on timeline (!)

The change must be done before you put the clips on the timeline.

 

For example, if you have used ten clips, on the timeline, or merging them, and then go to Modify > Audio Channels and set the clips to use only 2 channels that change will not reflect any of the clips you have already used. Modify > Audio Channels must be done before the clips are being used in Premiere Pro, used as in placing the clips on the timeline or merging them in Premiere Pro.
