Question

How to fix dead pixels in premiere pro 2026

I have multiple dead pixels on a dozen of my shots. I am struggling to figure out how to mask them or get rid of them.

Hi, dead pixels sit in the same spot in every frame, so you can fix them with the built-in Median effect:

    1. Select the clip and apply Effects > Video Effects > Noise & Grain > Median.

    2. In the Effect Controls panel, click the ellipse mask icon under Median and place a small mask exactly over the dead pixel, with a little feather.

    3. Raise the Radius just until the dead pixel disappears — keep it as low as you can.

    4. Add another mask to the same Median effect for each extra dead pixel, so one effect pass cleans up the whole clip.

Zooming in on the Program Monitor while you place the masks helps keep them tight. Hope that helps!
