Question

How to get rid of MOVBDMV folders created by project manager?

Hi Community,

When I copy my project files using the project manager, it creates a subfolder called "filename.MOVBDMV" for each separate clip in my project. My previous installation of Premiere Pro didn't do that, and I don't want it either. How can I set up the project manager to copy all clips into one folder without subfolders?

(I'm using Premiere Pro version 15.2.0 (build 35) on Windows 10)

Hello,

I think the problem comes from your files codec. Does it act the same with any file ? This "MOVBDMV" is weird though, first time I see this extension. Is it part of the original file name ? Or is it a metadata inside your file ?

Otherwise, if you are looking for a better Project Manager, there is a third party (paid) plugin called "PlumePack" which is a good alternative to the Project Manager. There is a "basic" version which is basically kind of the same than the "Collect & Copy", and a "premium" version with Trimming support (remove usused frames of your media without re-encoding).  More details about the difference here : https://www.autokroma.com/blog/PlumePack-Premiere-Pro-Project-Manager-Difference
