Question

How to get the source monitor and the program monitor playing simultaneously...

Hi,

As I was able to get it in VirtualDub (the screen with the source video and the screen with the video showing the effects.

So I can see the effect of filters on the frames before/after playing side to side to compare.

I did see the "Gang source and program" setting BUT...

while playing the video in the timeline, the source monitor freezes the first frame until the video stops and, only there, the frame change in the source monitor to synch with the program monitor.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks in advance,

Colette,

Put a copy of the clip above itself, onto V2.  Apply the effect to the the top copy, along with a Crop effect set at 50%.  This will allow you to see both the original and the effect in the same window.
