Question

How to keep extra video tracks as default set up?

I generally use about 7 video tracks on the timeline.  It comes with only 3 default tracks anytime I start a project.  I can add it, and save the set up.  But when I click on the saved setting, it still only shows 3 tracks.

How can I have it when I start a project that it starts with 7 default video tracks?

Bonus question: I noticed if I try to swap out a video, it retains the specs of the first video.  How do I reset the parameters for that video track?  Really simple example to clarify-I had a tiktok portrait video and took it off and put in a landscape video instead. It cuts it off as if it's a portrait video.

THANK YOU!

Second question is easy ... the sequence settings for the sequence are set by the first clip dropped there unless you use a preset then drop clips. So ... the sequence is still set for the framesize/rate of the first clip. Deleting the clip from the sequence still leaves that sequence set as it was.

As to the first question ... if you save the seqeunce as a preset, you should be able to get exactly that from the File/New sequence option, going down to the Custom folder, and selecting your sequence.

That works for me, and ... it should on yours. If it doesn't, well ... that's a problem!

Saving a sequence for those who don't know is done from the 3-bar menu in the Timeline panel, for the sequence you wish to save as a preset. Click that 3-bar menu by the sequence name, select "Create preset from Sequence" and then fill out the little dialog for name & description.

The sequence settings we users create are always in the Custom dialog which is always for some odd reason at the bottom of the Sequence Settings dialog for new sequences.
