How to make a video's media info into a preset

I download a video from YouTube or Vimeo or wherever. It is almost 60 minutes, but it is only half a gig in size and it looks pretty good to my old eyes. Most of my almost 60 minute videos are much much larger. My question is, how do I copy that video's media info to use on my own videos? I want to keep my video at 1920x1080, but I'd like to be able to get my videos the same size with the same quality. Does that make sense? I know I can lower the bitrate and decrease the size of my video with so so success, but I'm wondering if there is a simple way to just copy a video's (spec's ?) to a preset I can use on other videos. I'm not talking effects. Hope this makes sense. Thank you for your patience. Rick
