How to move position of titles in Program Monitor (or EG panel)?

I'm pretty happy with the new Titler, but there's one thing I can not figure out how to do:

How do I move a Title with multiple layers?

Inside the Essential Graphics panel, I can adjust the position properties for individual layers. By clicking inside the Source Monitor, I can drag around individual layers. But I can't find anywhere to use the mouse to adjust position for the whole Title (all layers). And even if I want to adjust X/Y axes, I can't seem to do it for the whole Title inside the EG panel. I can't Ctrl-click or Shift-click or Ctrl-A to multi-select or select all in either the EG panel or Source Monitor either. So if none of these intuitive options work, is there any way?

The only solution I can find is moving the X/Y position in "Effects Controls"... which works, but is a cumbersome workflow. Alternately, of course I could move the layers separately in EG, but that's not a great workflow either, once I have (for example) text sitting perfectly on top of a solid rectangle, but I want to move the whole thing. Admittedly, I'm not sure this was possible with the legacy Titler either, but it seems like a simple and useful feature, especially for those of us who are not just making lower thirds that always need to be in the same position.

Any solutions? Thanks!

Using Motion in the ECP as you've already done is the only way to move everything. And it's the way they designed it. All text details will eventually be handled in the EGP controls, though you can do a lot of them in the ECP, and all motion controls are to be used within the ECP.

I've got the EGP on the right side of my screen, and the ECP on the left side (no source monitor, just program monitor). And bounce between them depending on what I'm controlling.

Thanks, I guess it makes some sense to segregate the motion controls that way... keeps it in line with how any timeline element is controlled. But, it would be really nice to have some way to move layers together within a title... even just allowing for Parenting (like AE), grouping (like in the Premiere timeline) or some form of multi-select.

Your workspace layout sounds like it may be the best solution to speed this kind of thing up. Thank you!

My custom-layout for it is working pretty well. And yea, the way they thought this out makes sense after you learn how it's expected to work, but darn if I could figure out heads or tails at first! You can actually do a lot more than it looks like you can, if you take the time to look around at some of the tutorials on it. Here's "my" list.

The first one from PremiereGal actually does a great job of the basics ... including on re-watching yesterday, several things I'd already forgotten. Then James Strawn's Vimeo ... he's one of the development team for this, well worth watching. Then the two from reTooled.net ... they do a great job of diving further.
