How to quickly export separate clips - red footage

Hi,

I have a client that shot an interview in 8k red raw.

They want me to export a separate mp4 file for each answer the subject gave. The footage is a few hours with 200+ questions.

Is there any way to quickly export clips like this? I was thinking of putting it in the timeline then cutting between each question first, then if there is a way to export as separate? Or if anyone knows a better method.

I'm relatively new to premiere but not to editing (I'm much more experienced using FCPX so looking for any and all advice since moving over to premier)

    Not sure if this is an easy way or not but I would drop your footage into a sequence. Then go through and use the Razor Tool to split just the answer you want (I use Command+K to cut clips at the play head). Once you have your answer segmented, click on it and hit Comman+U to make it a sub clip and you'll be able to give it a specific name. Once you have all our your sub clips you can select them all in your project panel and Export Media making sure to add them to the Media Encoder Queue.

    This is very simple in DaVinci Resolve, very difficult in Premiere Pro.

    In Resolve, you have a checkbox to export a timeline as individual clips, or as one movie.  Premiere Pro has no analog.

    Adobe video & audio apps

    You'll have to set up each individual clip manually, setting In/Out points and adding to the Queue.  (The Mark Clip shortcut can help some.)

      Ok, I will try in DaVinci Resolve first.

      Do you know if this can be done the free version?
