How to rearrange clips "like bricks" on timeline?

How can i drag a clip around on the timeline and everything else adjusting to it? So it's not pasted into other things (using ONE video channel in the timeline), but rather the adjoining clips make room for it so i can just snug it in between the others.

LIke lego bricks: BLUE YELLOW RED GREEN, then take the GREEN and put it roughly between BLUE and YELLOW, and the new order is BLUE GREEN YELLOW RED and they are as tight and snug as they were before the move.

HOw to do that? (without need for ripple deletes and that stuff)
