Question

how to save a preset of the audio gain

Hello,

In my timeline I have selected an element, then pressed on G in order to open the audio gain window. Then I have changed the audio gain setting. But I don’t succeed to save a preset of this audio gain setting. How to do it ?

Hi! The Audio Gain dialog (G) itself has no Save Preset option, so a value set there can't be saved as a preset directly.

A handy workaround: select all the clips you want in the timeline first, then press G and set the gain once — it applies to all selected clips at the same time.

If you need a truly reusable preset, use the Essential Sound panel instead (Window > Essential Sound), adjust there, then use Save Preset — that saves your Essential Sound settings as a preset you can reapply. Docs: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere/desktop/add-audio-effects/adjust-volume-and-levels/create-audio-presets.html and https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere/desktop/add-audio-effects/adjust-volume-and-levels/adjust-gain-in-audio.html

    Hope that helps!
