How to save my text template?

It seems like something's missing, doesn't it? But I think it is still the "old" method. If anyone sees better options, let us know. 

Make sure the style you want is in the current project: in the Style browser, does it show when you only have only Project selected, not Local, and not neither one checked (which shows you both, just as if they are both checked)? If not, you must apply a Local style to an item and put it in the Project to use it.

If the Style is in the Project, it is an item in the Project Panel.

Select all the text items in the timeline you want the style applied to. Drag the style from the Project Panel to one of the selected items. The style is applied to ALL layers in each item.

What if you want to apply the style to only certain layers in multiple items? I don't see any short methods. For example, in a text item with 3 layers, if I select more than one layer, the style browser is not available. And if I drag from the Project Panel, it is still applied to all layers in that item. 

Note that, if you have a text item selected in the timeline, and you drag a style from the Project Panel to a different text item on the timeline, it deselects the previous one, selects the new one, and applies the style to all layers of the new item.

@AnnikaKoenig, Any plans for simplifying this? Is this the current "by design" method?
