Question

How to select audio and subs w/o starting the timeline?

Hey, there. I'm new at the forum and I'm so sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.

So, I'm using Encore to author a Blu-Ray and I've created everything fine. All the menu pages are working well and I created different pages for audio selection and subtitle selection, both showing as default button the active tracks. However, when you click the option, the target timeline starts playing. Is there a way I can make the player learn the selection without starting automatic playback? I want the selected audio and subtitles to be active, but I also want to stay at the menu.

Thanks for your time.

You don't link to the timeline, but back to the menu button. Use the specify link option.

I'm afraid I didn't do it correctly. I used the specify link option to guide to the same menu button that was selected. I previewed the disc and when I click I stay at the menu alright, but no change gets made on the movie timeline.

The specify link option allows you to specify the audio track and subtitle track you want to select. You make any change there, leaving the other one as no change. This should make the correct change when you select the appropriate button.

Not at home, so I can't give you a screenshot.
