How to separate scale X and Y properties in essential graphics in Premiere

Hey there, I'm just starting to work with the essential graphics panel (I know I'm a little behind the curve), and I've built a 'mogrt' in After Effects to use in Premiere. What I'm struggling with though, is how to be able to control the scale dimensions of a shape layer independently of one another. I know how to do this in After Effects, and it's working even in the Essential Graphics window in After Effects. I've unchecked the link on the scale property for my shape, and added the scale property of that shape into the Essential Graphics panel, then in AE I can preview controlling the scale X and Y independently. However, when I bring the mogrt into Premiere Pro, whenever I go to adjust the scale, the X and Y properties are linked.

Is there a way to unlink the X and Y scale properties for a shape in the Essential Graphics panel in Premiere?

Thanks!

Here's a screenshot showing the Essential Graphics window in AE and the scale properties which I am able to adjust independently the X and Y values.

Thanks for the response!

It actually ended up randomly working all of a sudden within the Essential Graphics panel. Maybe I wasn't exporting it from AE properly, but I tried again and now it is working.

Thanks!

Select the text / field as you want and then use the Effects Control Panel

Spin down "Scale" and then uncheck the box
