Question

How to simultaneously change the color of geometric shapes in different parts of the sequence.

When I select more than one geometric shape from different parts of the sequence, the graphic control options do not appear. I would like to be able to change the color of several geometric shapes at the same time, even if they are in different positions in the sequence.

To change the color of geometric shapes across different clips, follow these steps:

  1. Select one of the clips in the timeline, and go to Window > Lumetri Color.
  2. Under Curves > Hue Saturation Curves > Hue vs Hue:
    • Use the color picker to select the color of your shape, which will add three control points.
    • Drag the middle control point up or down to adjust the hue.
  3. Go to the Essential Graphics panel, copy the Lumetri effect, and paste it onto the other clips in your timeline.

If there's a chance you'll need to adjust the color again later, it’s a good idea to set the initial color of your shapes to black or white. Then, you can use the Tint effect to easily change their color at any point.
