Question

How to trim a video clip within essential graphics?

Now we can import video clips inside of essential graphics. However I could not figure out how to trim the video clip inside the essential graphics panel to get the exact point in the footage. The only way I could do is nest the essential graphics layer and then trim the nested clip. But that defies the whole idea of essential graphics. How do you trim multiple clips inside of essential graphics. Any thoughts?

With the change from the EGP to the Properties panel for mogt control, I think this has been changed to something different. So it's needing to be handled in a thread for comments on the Properties panel and editing of mogrt contents.

Extend the graphic over the length of the clip in the timeline and find the spot you want by trimming it down in the timeline. No need to nest.

But yes we need some sort of trimming for video in the EGP.

No it doesnt work that way. If the video clip is inside of EGP then triming the EGP clip, brings the video to its first frame where the EGP starts.

Yes you are correct: one needs to nest.
