Everytime I set my hsl key colors they reset when I get to the next color. I have no clue why they will not stay or even show a preview to what it could look like with it.

when you select a color or range of similar colors ( greens, reds, blues ) the correction you do only effects that color or range....so when you select a 'new' color or range ( even if it's really close to the first one to your eye ) the process starts over... hence the 'reset'.  Cause now you're working on a different color or range.

What do you mean "reset when I go to the next color" ... I don't understand that.

HSL is a fairly simple process in general. The keys are H for hue, S for saturation, and L for luma, and you can set any combination of the three of them to create your key. Then you use the controls below the key/mask area to modify the pixels "qualified" by the key set with the HSL sliders.

You use the mask option simply to show you which pixels are currently selected ... and turn it off when done setting the key.
