I can not import anything

hello Everyone

I’ve been trying to work premiere for a while now with my Canon Rebel t5i videos. Granted they are MOV files and those are difficult to work with. However, it’s not letting me import ANYTHING into premiere. If I try to drag something, it gives me the circle with a line through it saying that it can’t be copied there. If I try just to click on it, it does nothing. What else can I do to try and get this to work? Premiere is a contract and I don’t want to pay a years worth of payments if it’s not goinf to work for me. My computer is an hp x360
