I dont know how to properly work with importing different video (Inspire 1 and GoPro) and put it on the timeline with a resolution that doesnt lose quality for either source.

I have two sources for video. An Inspire 1 and a GoPro. I use both to create video in Adobe Premiere but in the project Im working on right now I'm not totally sure what the best settings would be to create a good quality video. When I move the video onto the timeline the video is really zoomed in.

So what should the initial settings for the whole project be? While Im importing the videos and moving them to the timeline is there some steps I need to do so the resolution is the same?

First go into Edit/Preferences and make sure the option that says "Set default scale to frame-size" is unchecked.

Next, what's the resolution of the two drones? You're probably going to want to start a sequence with media from the lower resolution one as up-rezzing is not always  ... pretty.

In the Project panel drop a lower res clip on the New Item icon to get a basic sequence set up for it.

I would certainly start with the lower res footage as the settings for the sequence. I assume it's at least 1920x1080. Maybe your inspire footage is 4k?

You can drag a clip form the lower camera on the new document icon to create a sequence with settings based on that clip. Let's say that a 1080 sequence. When you drag 4k footage onto that sequence, it will be zoomed in because it's frame is much larger in resolution. You can right click on that clip and use set to frame size which automatically scales the footage down to fit your 1080 frame size. You'll see in the motion tab of the effects controls that the footage has been scaled to something like 50%. There is a preference setting for automatically doing that with any footage dragged onto the timeline.

Of course, if you want a larger res sequence for larger res output, your 1080 footage will have to be scaled up and quality will suffer.

    Hope this helps.
