Hi christinaa59645302,

I have the newest premiere pro on Mac, yet when I try to export media the animated gif format isn't shown.

It is a windows only feature, but you can use Adobe Photoshop to export Animated GIFs.

Workflow is explained in this forum post: Re: Animated gif selection does not appear in output menu of Premiere Pro CC?

A lot of editors/users requested for this feature on Mac.

I request you to submit a feature request for the same.

It's still an option here, using 2017.0.2 on Windows 10.

It seems to be a Mac issue

You can use Photoshop to create animated gifs from video clips or photo layers. It's more trouble than doing it in Pr Pro, but take a look here to get the idea. I just tried it and it does work, at least on a pc.
