Question

I'm having a problem with photos.

When I pause, the image changes scale. When I zoom in smoothly, the image starts to shake. I haven't applied a shake effect; I want a smooth zoom in the photo. I also noticed another issue—with high-resolution photos, the rendering time increases tenfold. I applied a smooth zoom to the photo over the course of 20 seconds, and the rendering time increased by 10 minutes. Without the photo, the rendering time is 2 minutes.

If the photo is not a psd, try converting it to psd in Photoshop and see if that works.

That's an interesting solution—I'll give it a try. I used a JPEG, then converted it to PNG, and the rendering got a little faster, but it's still slow.

    Hey Paul,

The image might be too large for your Sequence. Optimize the image by resizing it to be no larger than twice the sequence size. I would think that a JPEG might perform best, as it is lossy and compressed compared to a PNG. Experiment and let us know if optimizing the image helped your workflow.

    Cheers,
    Kevin
