1. PREMIERE PRO v24 Build 58

2. macOS Monterey Version 12.5.1

3. Use autotranscription when someone in America is talking about pounds as in weight.

4. I would expect the transcription to read POUNDS not £

Is there a way to let Premiere know what country you are in for transcription purposes?

The speech to text is already only OK. Like, I am having to do way too much fixing because I need captions for most of the videos I am working on. So I am working on a long video with a bunch of farmers talking about how many pounds of food they are moving in a period and every time Premiere transcribes it as the £ sign instead of POUNDS!?!?!? It wouldn't be a big deal save for it is like 4 hours of video I am going through and every third or fourth thought these people have is to talk about how many POUNDS of food they are pushing out.

Anyway - sure this is nitpicky and specific, but... where do you tell Premiere you are an American hillbilly editor and not bouncing about in Trafalgar Square?

I think Premiere uses what the OS is set to for language. I know on my PC, i'm set to English (USA) or something like that. It is distinguished from English (UK).

So I wonder if your Mac has a setting like that, that perhaps is set to English (UK)?
