I'm running into the "This project was saved in a newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro and cannot be opened in this version" error, similar to the issue reported with 25.6 a while back.

Question

- I updated Premiere Pro to 26.3.2 (Build 2)

- My project, last saved just before the update, now throws the version error and won't open

- I also had the Beta version installed, which converted to the standard release around the same time I was working — closing the file right as that happened seems to have triggered the mismatch

- I've tried opening in multiple installed versions, tried a third-party downgrader tool (which corrupted the file further and returned a "project appears damaged" error), and recovered an older auto-save — but it's an early version that's missing a substantial amount of recent work

I still have the original (untouched) .prproj file

System details:

- Premiere Pro version: 26.3.2 (Build 2)

- OS version: Windows 11 Home, Build 26200.9168

​@actorkeith,This is one of those times when the current Beta (now 27.0.0) is a newer PR project FILE version than the current release (PR 26.3.2 just out). PR 26 is file version 45. PR 27 is file version 46.You can use the classic hack/converters that change the file version number so PR 26 will open it. Because both versions support the new mask features, it should work with masks. But I did not test that.Stan

As it turns out, that's exactly what happened. I had not realized that I had built the whole thing in the Beta version. Once I found the Beta version in Creative Cloud and opened it, I could open the file. Many thanks for your quick response.
