I NEED TO MAKE A STILL JPEG 0.5 SECONDS

I'm trying to make a series of still jpegs 0.5 seconds instead of 1 second, but I can't figure out how. I need it to be HALF of 00;00;00;01.

I see where to edit it, but it's not "sticking". I've gone into preferences>general>timeline, and I also tried the "Speed/Duration" box. Nothing is working.

    I need it to be HALF of 00;00;00;01.

    That would be half a frame, not half a second.

    Once they are imported you cannot change the duration in the preferences.

    Select all in the Project window > right click > Speed/duration > set duration

    0.5 seconds would be 15 frames for 30 frames timeline.
