Hi Carolyn

I upgraded to the new version while I was in the middle of a project.

When I opened the project, premier wanted to convert my old file to the new format....

well i t claimed success but it did not carry my sequences forward from my original file - one of the sequences took me 15 hours to create and now it is lost to the new version!  How  can I get the program to recognize my old sequences that were saved in the origianl version of the project files?

Thank you

Ray

If you have a version of the project file prior to conversion, use this process ...

    1) create a new project in PrPro 2019

    2) from the PrPro Media Browser, navigate to the previous project file, select with a single click ... right-click, and import the project's assets.

    3) go to the Project panel, and see if the sequences now work properly.

This process is both more reliable and far safer than simply opening a project file in a newer version to be 'converted'.

Neil - this worked perfectly!  I recovered my sequences!  A huge time saver!  Thank you!

You're most welcome. As always, my main interest here is just getting people working, whichever is the most practical way to do it. I'm happy to talk Theory of Editing Software, but ... first? ... getting the job done.
