I want the enter button to start playback

I'm not sure how, but suddenly when I hit enter now, my sequence does not start from the beginning.

Is there a setting I changed somehow?
How do I make it so hitting enter STARTS my video from beginning?

Also, make sure that Play after rendering previews is checked in the Timeline section of Preferences.

Enter means render effect from in to out.

Delete the in and out point from your timeline. ctrl+shift+X.

If there is nothing to render playback will start at the beginning of the timeline.
