i5-4690K and GTX 1060 (6GB) - enough for 4K editing?

Hi guys,

is it possible to edit 4K footage from Lumix camera (G80 or GH5) with this setup?

I didn't mention RAM or SSD, since it's easy to upgrade.

If this is not enough, what would be the cheapest way to step it up?

Thank you very much!

Dont think this will give you easy editing.

Might want to consider using proxies if a new computer is not an option.

Use Cineform proxies and you won't have any performance problems.

    Thanks, Jim!

I've been watching proxies tutorials for the past hour and it looks really easy!

    Perfect feature for my needs!

    So again, thank you both!

    Thanks, Ann!

I'm really a newbie, so I don't know about proxies. I will think about it, tho.

Anyway - is this setup at least good for 1080p editing?

I think so, have a system that is far less then yours, but then I edit mpeg2 instead of mpeg4.

For 4K I need to use proxies also.
