If I make a change to a imported project file, will those saved changes be applied to the imported P

For example, I’m currently working on a showreel and importing many project files into the showreel project file, will the changes I make to those imported sequences be applied to the original when I save, or will the imported project files be unmodified on the original PRPROJ I imported.

It shouldn't.

Open a test project, import an existing project, and make a small reversible change, Save it and check if the original is OK.
