Images into sequence BUG?

Version 24.4.1
Trying to import a sequence of images with names in ascending order into Sequence.
Project Import > Mark first image > Mark Import to Sequence checkbox.
Only one image is shown in the project. Right click, no option to change FPS.
2 Screenshots attached.
How do I solve this?
is it a bug?

Correct answer PaulMurphy

Premiere Pro will only import images as an image sequence if the filenames are numbered sequentially with no gaps—for example, DSC04690.jpg, DSC04691.jpg, DSC04692.jpg, etc.

If there’s a missing number or inconsistent naming, the sequence won’t be recognized.

When it comes to renaming files (and you probably shouldn't count on the camera sequencing all the file names right). Advanced renamer is very cool. You can even rename on Exif info or Meta data. It's a great program. https://www.advancedrenamer.com/

renaming files in foldere (windows) is done by two clicks.
why do I need a program?

If you want to rename a bunch of files.

Just updating - nothing worked in an existing project and support was no help.
I opened a new project, imported the images, turned them into a sequence, exported the file and it went into the previous project. From the previous project the same process didn't work.
Probably another bug.

@Takeone.Digital,

@PaulMurphy identifies your problem correctly. Here's a bit more info.

Your framerate adjustment will work once  you have more than a one frame sequence. See the help page re image sequence for their explanation of the framerate on import:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/importing-still-images.html

Unless you are exporting with sequential numbers (think After Effects animation), this often raises this issue of how to rename. My favorite is ReNamer: https://www.den4b.com/. Someone mentioned using Bridge.

Hi Stan,
as I mentioned before- all images are numbered sequentially with no gaps.
the import insert is one image only.

@Takeone.Digital,

> all images are numbered sequentially with no gaps.

I'm looking at your image "img s.png". For a sequence with no gaps, image DSC04690 would be followed by DSC04691. When you import as sequence, it will stop after importing DSC04690 and it will be a one frame/one image sequence.
