Import Files not Responding

I recently updated to premiere pro 2020 and completely lost all my progress on a project that I spent over a week on so really bummed about that.
I'm trying to restart the project now but whenever I import large files the whole program crashes.
I've uninstalled everything and used the Adobe Cleaner Tool cleaning everything and restarted; same issue.
I reset all the preferenced, deleted media cache, and all previews and still the issue persists.
It's very frustrating losing everything (I spent 12 hours on this project yesterday alone) but now have spent hours trying to just be able to restart the project, please help.

I've also tried using the media browser; I never had a problem before importing large mp4 files and the proxies I've made for them but now it immidietely crashes premiere 2020
