Question

Import from iPhoto ~~> Premiere Pro

Help I am going crazy cause it can't be this hard. I have a album of about 270 photos and videos I am trying to import into Premiere Pro. I have tried the folder on the desktop to then pull in (things got messed up). The drag and drop just does nothing (assuming cause of size). I try to export from Iphotos with "Edit with" and get a bunch of errors.

How do I add this one album in iPhoto to Premier with a click of a button

Images in iPhoto (or now just called 'Photos.app') are kept inside a package with a ".photoslibrary" extension. Premiere will struggle to access images from inside there so I would select all the images you want and go to File>Export>Export # Photos

Depending on the resolution of you images and how you intend to use them, you might want to choose "Export unmodified originals for # Photos" ... but this might give you large resolution camera raw formats so you might have a better experience letting Photos convert to JPG as per the normal Export mentioned above.

Once all your images are copied into a new folder: Import or drag-and-drop into Premiere.
