import from old Sony Vegas project

Hello.

I need to redo an old project but I don't want to work on it in Sony Vegas but open it in Premiere. I removed all effects in the Sony project and there is just clips in the timeline, some with standard transitions. I want to export it and open it in Premiere but I am enountering problems almost everywhere. First, I am on a Windows PC. I need to know if I should export to xml or to fcpxml. Do I need to include the media when exporting? I assume Premiere would ask for the missing files when opened? Either way, I tried both ways. It took me a whole day to get lots of problems sorted out. First, the export crashed. That was a framwework issue propably because updating the .net framework made Sony Vegas export successfully to xml. But not to fcpxml. When I try to export to Premiere Pro project file the export works but when I open the file in Premiere I get a general error message when opening the project. I have no clue why that is happening and I have no clue why the export to fcpxml is failing and why I can't open the xml file in Premiere, again, I get a general error message and no clue why that is happening. Can someone help me?
