Question

Imported an xml and none of the media can be moved or copied

Hey all!

I have a project I'm working in and just got some new footage to sync/organize. I've started using Syncaila and it's been great. I export an xml, upload it into Syncaila, and then it gives me an xml to import back into my project. I've used it a few times now with no issues.

I just imported a new xml from Syncaila though, and I can scrub through it just fine but when I try to move any clips to different tracks, they appear locked and won't move. I've tried copying them to another fresh sequence and that doesn't work either. However, all of my old sequences for other videos in the same project do work just fine.

For specs, I'm on an Apple M1 Max, 32 GB RAM, 10 cores, if that's helpful. And I'm on the latest version of Premiere.

These seems like a bug but I really don't want to manually sync if it can somehow be resolved!

Hi @tm28367012,

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums and thank you for reporting a problem. Can you confirm the exact version of Premiere Pro you are on?

Did the issues start with an update or are you using media different from before? Do you still happen to have any of the old XMLs that worked and have you tried importing those again?

What version of Syncaila are you on, and is it the most recent update?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani
