Question

Imported Clips from a C300 Mark II and C200 and they are all named "CLIPS001"

Went to the Media Browser, clicked the root folder that held the "CONTENTS" folder, and context-menu'd "Import" and every clip is named "CLIPS001". This did not happen with the previous version, just this new Premiere 2020.

@10204056 Jain - Did you get some examples? I've been away for a job and haven't had time. If you need any more examples let me know. Hopefully @2085257 DeWitt and maybe others helped you out.

I can provide files from the XA50/55 series, however, i think it won't matter exactly what camera they are from I think it's a Canon thing.

@mayjain7130546 I can send files from C300MKii, C200 and C70, all of which this error is still occurring with. Do you have an email address you can share? Thanks

Sorry for this issue. We are looking into it in-house. We had fixed it last year, but for some reason, maybe a different set of files, it's occurring again in Premiere.

Is it possible for any of you to share some of the files? It Will help us to double verify with specific media you are using after we find a fix to this problem,

Thanks for highlighting this issue.

Goes to show the programming to import correctly is all there. As David noted it will be a simple fix. Most likely just a typo in the code or syntax.

How we can get the attention of someone on the team to fix what is probably 5-10 minutes work.

Changing the folder named "Clips001" to Clips002 also works to get PP to recognise file names... so odd

April 2021 and it's STILL an issue. But Ben Howard's workaround worked for me. Rename the folder CONTENTS to CONTENT.

Don't know much about programming, but certainly this can't be such a difficult thing for Adobe to patch...
