Imported Videos Play Sped Up

I am running the latest version of Premiere Pro and when I went to set up a new project this afternoon, footage that is playing at normal speed through Windows Media Player is being played sped up and choppy when it's imported. I also opened a previous project that was not giving me an issue with playback and I am experiencing the same problem with that project. I shot on two different devices - an iPhone 15 Pro at 59.84 fps and a Canon DSLR at 23.97 fps. I've edited videos using both of these cameras very recently and have not run into this issue.

Hi @Kevin-Monahan! I think that my issue was stemming from internet connectivity and a VPN I was using on my machine. I tried editing the videos again this morning from my office and I'm not having any issues whatsoever. Thanks for the troubleshooting steps!

Make sure Default Input in the Audio Hardware in the Preferences is set to No Input.

Phone footage as in variable framerate tend to give issues.

Convert to constant framerate with Handbrake or Shutter Encoder before bringing into Premiere.
