Hi there,

So i am working on a variety on lot's of different projects within premiere pro and there are lot's of different files that take up a lot of space so all the files are uploaded to Dropbox.

But every single project when linking the media in PP displays the 'Importer Reported A Generic Error' message. I always check i have locally installed or downloaded for access offline and the files are compatible with premiere pro ect but it always displays this message, meaning that i have to either rename or duplicate 100s of GB everytime which takes forever. Is there any fix for this that doensn't require me to either dupliacted or rename every indivudal file ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated or for Adobe to fix this issue

Dropbox is fine for backup, but not for editing.

Might want to get an external (ssd) drive to store assets.

Thank you, but do you know why this happens. I mean i am downloading them to my actual mac itself and yet i can access the file fine outside of adobe applications view the video/view the graphic ect.. but premiere pro only notices it if i duplicate the file?
