Importing clips in date and time order

Hi, I have a folder  on my PC with video clips shot on two different cameras.  Therefore, the file names are of a different structure.  I want to iimport on mass in the correct chronological order, not fiel name order.  The date and times are correct.  I can sort correctly on the folder on my PC but I dont know how to order them in that way in the project panel so that I can then import them into the timeline in the same order.   I dont want to do it in 1s and 2s because it will take a long time. 

 

Any ideas?

    Unfortunately not all formats show dates in the metadata display.

    But you can batch rename them in The Bridge by sorting on date and then adding a number to the front of the filename.

    That way you can sort on filename.
