Question

Importing GoPro Fusion footage, audio corrupted, white noise

I hear an intermittent static, white noise, fuzzy, fully corrupted audio.

Exported from GoPro Fusion Studio 1.3 with the Cineform codec in 5.2K.

With H264 codec in 4K, sound is okay.

I tried installing GoPro Studio Quick to get the Cineform codec with it, didn't work.

I've built the cineform-sdk from GitHub using CMake, no difference.

I've installed Adobe Media Encoder to get codecs with it maybe, didn't work. When I preview the same gopro video in this, there's no sound either. It's not static, it's totally mute. For other mp4 videos I hear sound.

Help, make my Premiere recognize sound!

version: Adobe Premiere Pro CC v12.0 Build 224

Hello !

I've found something that works (but it takes a little bit of time).

- Download Shutter Encoder on your computer.

- Import your 360 video

- Choose H264 and make sur that your video bitrate is minimum at 100000kb/s (or more if you want)

- Start encode (wait 5min for a 30sec video if you have good specs on your pc)

- When it's done, you can import your video in Premiere and the sound of your video works correctly.

Glad to help you

Hi, I'm having the exact same issue. I've worked around it by opening the video in Audacity, exporting the audio in an mp3 file and importing that audio separately in the Premiere project. Good luck!

I am also having the same issue. Can't seem to figure anything out - the audio comes through perfectly if I upload the same file to Premiere Pro 2019 version, but of course you can't use the GoPro VR plugins with that version..... Any one have any help??
