Importing P2 Clips into Premiere Pro

I have several video clips that were shot on a Panasonic P2 camera. When I try to import them into my Premiere Pro project, selecting all of them, only certain ones show up. When I try it again, selecting the missing clips that didn't import the first time, it again imports only the same group of clips that were in the first batch. I keep ending up with multiple copies of the same clips, while the other group of clips never show up in the bin even though I keep selecting them. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to get the other clips into my project?
