Imports audio only

I realize this is an old problem, I haven't used my system for a while. Used to import almost all video formats now it just imports audio, no video. What's up with that?

Older Nikon D5100

It is very possible you're running into the QuickTime issue.  That's a pretty old camera.

You can have multiple versions of PP installed at the same time.  Install an older version and convert your footage for use in the new version.  I recommend Cineform files.

I'm mildly pissed off at this being that it once took almost every format thrown at it and now it's proprietary. I only use it for home video editing and use my DSLR, which doesn't shoot in the format required. Unless there's a free video converter that's also fast I may need to uninstall.

Which DSLR? I'm curious, as most have a couple options, such as AVCHD, mp4, and mov, as my GH3 does.
