In current version of PP, mask wireframe does not appear, cannot move

Hi,

Two issues: 1) I often cannot see any wireframe on the clip and therefor I have to manually increase/decrease the frame size or position; and more importantly, 2) A blue wireframe in the shape I choose does not appear when I put a mask on a clip say after putting on a fast blur effect. I need to blur out a face, have done this many times before, but there is nothing allowing me to move the shape.  It's very frustrating. I'm on deadline and I don't see anything in my settings or timeline that is causing this problem.

Thanks for any help!

I'm using a PC with Windows 7.

Anyway, I decided to save a copy of the project and work within that. That seems to work. The other thing is that I learned that if I select the mask I'm working with in the effects control panel, the blue wire-frame shows up.

In other words, it appears at first when you select that option after placing the filter (fast blur in my case).  But then, if you go to another clip and return to the original one, you no longer see the wire frame. But when I went to the effects control panel and clicked on that mask, it appears and I can manipulate it some more as needed.

Not an ideal fix but at least I got what I needed done and am outputting.

Thanks!

Amala,
I cannot replicate this behavior, perhaps because we have different systems. Can you give us more info on your system and media? I have seen another case like this, so I'd like to try to help.

Thanks,
Kevin

Not an ideal fix

Premiere Pro is actually designed on purpose to work that way.  You only see the masks that are selected in the ECP.
