In Premiere, every time you export and go back to the EDIT layout, the timeline disappears

Why is it that in the 2026 version of Premiere “Pro”, every time you export and go back to the EDIT layout, the timeline disappears?

This bug has been reported for several years and it still hasn’t been fixed.

Is there any solution that doesn’t involve losing several 10-minute chunks of productivity every single day?
